Views from the deck

Ahhhh....

The house had a perfect size wrap around deck, and with the fabulous weather (for the first few days), I took full advantage one afternoon while Tyson was taking a nap. I was laying on a towel with my camera next to me and didn't move at all to take these shots. All the "action" came to me. Love that!

I wasn't the only one taking advantage of the afternoon sun.

Erin brought me a copy of Eat, Pray, Love when she and Janna came to visit in March. I finished it in a few days and it's a very entertaining read. Although I don't agree with all of her philosophies, I definitely enjoyed how she told her travelling stories and was caught laughing out loud more than once.

Lucky for us, the house came with a storage bench full of toys! Ava latched on to a child's iPod that played princess music. I'm pretty sure she almost cried when we had to leave it there at the end of the week.

And this was my snack while laying outside. Pita chips with a yummy tomato chutney, and a lemonade icee (made by Wade).

By the way, if you don't have a Magic Bullet blender (if you watch ANY television on Saturday morning when infomercials are playing, you'll know what I'm talking about), you need to get one. It's great for baby food, guacamole, eggs, ice cream shakes, breakfast smoothies, and lemonade icees (and much more). You can get them now at Target and Costco. Go get one!
