My new Webster XL-800

....makes me happy.

I get really attached to inanimate objects. Don't get me wrong, I get attached to people too, but for some reason I was born with a strong attachment to things. Having said (or admitted) that, I am fully aware that all things of this world are temporal, but I believe God created each of us with talents, and the things I get attached to, in my opinion, were made by people who were given extra special talents by God.

Case in point, my new Webster XL-800 portable typewriter that I was lucky enough to "win" on eBay. I mean, who doesn't love being a winner??!!

I love the way it sounds, smells and feels. And I LOVE the blue and red color combo.

Leave a comment, and I might just write you a letter on it!!

P.S. One of my inanimate "crushes" happens to be one of my biggest regrets. My 1978 International Harvester Scout II with a 345 cubic inch V-8 engine. She was a beauty. And she was candy apple red. Her name was Lady Red, and my friend Wyatt always told me that Lady Red had her high heels on because I had really skinny, tall tires on her. We sold her a few years ago and with her proceeds we now have a lovely LARGE new patio in our backyard (in Denver). I love my patio, don't get me wrong, but I miss Lady Red something awful.

I miss typewriters! My children will have no idea what they've missed by having advanced technology. My daughter thinks I'm strange when I gush over an old typewriter. Nice "win".

And OH MY WORD. That word project is to die for. I'm literally drooling.
