From Lemons to Lemonade

So Rachel, Ava and I left the boys and home and headed into the City to go the Journey Church (http://www.journeymetro.com/midtown/), and struck out. Arghhhh!!! It didn't say anything on their website about not meeting today. So frustrating. It's a church Rachel has been wanting to try for a long time because she's a big fan of their worship leader, and I was looking forward to some good worship. Bummer.

So we had to come up with something else to do!! Not to hard in Manhattan, but it took us a while to get over our disappointment. Luckily for us, B&H Photo was right across the street. I've always wanted to visit there since I've bought all my camera equipment from them for the last five years.

This store should be on any camera-buff's to do list. There was a line 1/2 block line to get in when the doors opened at 10am.

Then we grabbed a bite to eat at the Tick Tock Diner. Perfect to go with our tick tock prayer the kids love to say. Ava loved the OJ, and enjoyed coloring in one of her new Christmas coloring books.

We then went to Bryant Park to rest our feet and wait for Jay and Zach to come pick up Rachel so they could head back to Maryland. Sniff. Sniff.

Ava and I stuck around for a little while and she got to ride the carousel in Bryant Park and watch a magic show with about 50 other kids. All in all, it turned out to be an excellent day despite our church disappointment.
